Broken images like icon

Been using Outlook for quite some years now. I primarily use it to access my emails even in the absence of network. Of course it does its job. But sometimes, I feel, few of the attachments are shown with a broken symbol. In fact, it is not possible to open the attachments in the absence of network.
With teh proper access to internet, nothing seems wrong.
Am i the only one who faces the same?
