Photos not saving till reboot

Hello, I'm web browsing on my phone and when I find an image and want to save it, I hold down, a menu pops up and gives option to save. I choose save, then go to the saved images area, nothing shows up. Even waited a few minutes I reboot my phone, there it is.
Any idea why out doesn't show up right away?
