Design: A half-moon shape, sort of like the Burj Al Arab Hotel but solid instead of skeletonized - with the two main sides wrapped in a sift speaker cloth (ideally black), so they are simply three featureless curved surfaces with rounded edges connecting them. the far edge will be the back side and not visible. On that edge will be a high-powered pico projector and all connections.
When you invoke Cortana, the projector will fire up and project the fullscreen Cortana interface on the wall directly behind it (the projector can be adjusted to match the angle of the wall). Otherwise it will have no built in screen, as it's not necessary. It can do double-duty as a home server, and may possibly connect to a TV (with CEC so the Lumos can turn the TV on and switch it to the correct input) so it can play Netflix and such on your command.
