Drive Sizing Specs for Upgrading Optical Drive in an Alienware Aurora R6

I have an Alienware Aurora R6 and am frustratingly trying to upgrade the optical drive to one that can read Blu-rays. Does anyone know what drive size specs I should be looking for? It's a low profile drive that is even smaller than a standard laptop optical drive. I tried posting this to an existing Aurora R6 article (http://ift.tt/2sWJSGp), but my reputation here isn't high enough to post to older articles. Thanks any help.

Background in case anyone's interested: When purchasing this computer the only spec*they showed was that it was a 5.25" drive. Assuming it would be a full sized 5.25", I ordered the system with the least expensive DVD option, meaning to switch it out with the Blu-ray drive in my old system. This, of course, didn't work, so eventually I ordered a low profile Blu-ray drive meant for laptops. The slot in the case is too small even for this drive. What grinds my gears about this is that it's obvious that the internal bay (silver*metal part) is big enough for the laptop drive. It's the outer case (black metal part) and front bezel that are the obstructions.
