The power cover is very cheap now and I was thinking about getting it for my original Surface RT. I'll be going on a long flight soon (around 8-9 hours) and I'll be using my Surface to watch some movies with my friend the whole way. I figured for such a long flight, I'd probably need extra power for my Surface RT unless you guys think the Surface RT already has a long enough battery life?
Anyways, I've read conflicting reports about whether the Power Cover is compatible with the Surface RT. Official Microsoft sources and product listings say that it's only compatible with the Surface 2 and above, but other sources say it is indeed compatible with the original Surface RT and original Surface Pro too.
