How to prevent my Surface Book's screen from dimming when charging and playing games?

I'm having an issue with my Surface Book. When my laptop is being charged and I open Asphalt 9 or Fortnite the screen dims down automatically. This only happens when I open these games otherwise the screen is bright when it's getting charged. Also the adaptive brightness thingy is disabled so this shouldn't happen but it does. Any suggestions?
