I ran to an article about virtual desktop/office: http://ift.tt/2v1mY10.
It took me some time to notice, that they (http://ift.tt/214Fflm) were not using HoloLens, but their own technology. Somewhere between HoloLens and Mixed Reality headsets (which are just VR - unless they use the cameras to render real environment in the future - confusing :eck: ) in tech and price.
To me it looks like pretty awesome tech, unless one needs to walk around much. Z-buffer is like from 16-bit games, but hey, if one can fist-fight with giant 3D-eyeball, maybe one can get used to that :excited:
The true reality shows through the holograms, because there is no shutter-matrix to block that. I believe that HoloLens handles that?
