I am having some issues with opening a Word Template from a SharePoint that has been setup.
When I open a .dotm file from a SharePoint intranet site it only gives me the option to select OPEN. When this opens in word it then opens the template file in read-only mode instead of creating a new document based on the template.
I have a feeling this has something to do with Edge sending the address to word to open it from SharePoint rather then downloading it first and then opening it. I also notice that IE does the same thing.
When using a non Microsoft branded browser this behaviour disappears and it works fine.
