Newbie question

Hi

I have been on wp10 insider builds since I updated from Lumia 630 to 640

Coming from android & being in android communities I've learnt about a little thing called 'root access'

I've little to no knowledge of the ins & outs of 'root' on windows mobile, however, I have managed to 'deploy' an .xap called root tools

I'm intrigued :/

So my question;

What is interop unlock, etc. & what can I do with it?

Pls consider that I am a newbie to wp, but not to mobile handsets 😊
