After upgrading to the fall update my xbox app streaming no longer works. I get sound but no video.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the xbox app, I've restarted the xbox and made sure its up to date, I even went so far as to refresh windows. No change. when I hit connect and then stream the screen goes gray and I can hear my game but nothing else happens. Does anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to find anything and asking xbox support they didn't seem to understand my question.
