Autofill on email addresses not working

Why is it I have to type the complete email address on my Nokia Lumia 920 phone. Or I could hit the plus sign and search for people in my contacts, of course, I could only enter 1 person at a time, then hit plus sign, add new person, etc..
I've seen others with similar problem, but no solution.
