How can I block "how do you want to open this website?"

So I recently ran into a problem where tabs in Microsoft edge browser were opening infinitely. If I closed it, it kept opening again and again. After I uninstalled it, it keeps showing a box "how do you want to open this website?". It opens and a second later it closes, half a second later it opens again and so on. Is there any way I can just block this so nothing pops up?
