Onedrive will not sync an open MS word or excel or powerpoint file

Hello:

I have windows 10, updated, and on my laptop, Onedrive will not sync any MS type of file, like Word, Excel, or Powerpoint, as long as the file is open.

I have reset Onedrive, and nothing seems to resolve this issue, which does not affect one of my other computers, but does affect a third one.

Thank you for any advice or help.
