My Surface Pro is vulnerable to Intel-SA-00086 vulnerabilities...

Is MS able to provide updates to mitigate the possibility of remote access or is the ME (which I don't understand well) so embedded in multiple systems that I should not wait for MS to do anything and return this device, and go with something manufactured by Lenovo, HP, Dell, or another company that is trying to address this?
