I tried connecting to a chromecast today and was partially successful. I do not want to pay for an app.
I went to my Bluetooth settings. Clicked to add a new device, searching for 'Everything else.' This found the chromecast. After that VLC let me connect to the chromcast to display a picture but all I saw on the TV was the 'connect' icon. Any tips how can I send pictures, local videos, youtube, and google image search results to the chromecast?
