Lumia 550 Camera Roll Pics Problem

I'm using Microsoft Lumia 550 and my problem is I took some photos with the camera the other day and decided to delete them but they're still showing up on WhatsApp on the Camera Roll section and when I try to open them I get this message: "Could not open
the photo. It may be missing or corrupt." Help
