Fall Creator's Update - Microsoft Brings Back Subtle, But Important Feature Abandoned After 10240

Hey there,

With the introduction of the new Action Center, Microsoft has brought back a subtle, but important feature that hasn't been seen since 10240. In the days of 10240, where the Mail & Calendar notifications were sporadic at best, I used a program called POP Peeper that provided real-time notifications from email accounts. This worked because 10240 allowed non-UWP app notifications to persist in the Action Center. After Build 10586 was released, this feature was scrapped, until now. This feature is important because it provides an equal ground for people who don't want to use UWP apps, but want to receive the same notifications. The re-addition of this feature may be an accidental consequence on Microsoft's part, so it may be scrapped again during the next build. So, enjoy the persistent notifications while you can.
