Scroll wheel jumps around in browsers

I'm using a Logitech M705 mouse, in Windows 10, which worked great for the first year or so that I had it. A few weeks ago, a friend gave me a Logitech Touchpad T650 and I connected it to the same radio receiver as the mouse and keyboard via Logitech's Unifying software (up to five devices can connect). Ever since, the mouse has been wonky when scrolling in Edge and Chrome. If I scroll in Word documents or PDFs, it scrolls great.
What I've tried so far:
-Making sure that the mouse and the touchpad were not both powered on at the same time.
-updated all the drivers for the Logitech receiver and devices.
-removing the touchpad from the receiver and uninstalling the drivers for it.
-removing everything and reconnecting.
-cleaning the scroll wheel.
-a different receiver.
-reinstalling setpoint

Does anyone have any ideas to try next? I would really appreciate any advice! Thank you in advance.

-Timothy
